Founded in 2011 by David Nicholson, DCN is licensed by the Massachusetts State Police as a Home Watch Guard company, providing professional oversight and peace of mind for homeowners while they’re away.
David and Carolyn Nicholson bring over 40 years of combined experience across real estate, property management, and hospitality. David’s background includes luxury hospitality design and operations, with work connected to brands like the Mandarin, The Ritz-Carlton, and The Four Seasons—where attention to detail and seamless service are the standard.
Carolyn’s experience in mortgage banking and real estate adds a practical understanding of what homeowners need to protect and maintain one of their most important investments.
Their story began at The Ritz-Carlton Boston, where a shared commitment to thoughtful, high-level service took root. That same approach continues today—quietly attentive, highly organized, and grounded in trust.
Beyond their professional experience, David and Carolyn are homeowners and short-term rental hosts themselves. Having managed their own Airbnb and now co-hosting, they understand firsthand what it means to care for a home—whether it’s lived in, shared, or temporarily left behind.
Based in Concord, they share their home with their Springer Spaniel, Bernie, and spend time tending gardens, chickens, and bees—a reflection of the care and consistency they bring to every property they manage.
